Pets Out of The Ordinary

Most people who keep pets are familiar with the health needs of animals like dogs and cats. For more unusual pets, you will need to consult a vet to find out what vaccinations are required. This is a good safety precaution.

There are several exotic animals, whose bites can spread diseases such as rabies. People often get bitten by the animals mentioned below, with possible adverse effects.

Ø Skunks and raccoons are often carriers of rabies in the wild.

Ø Ferrets can pass on the rabies virus to a person they bite.
